We were contacted by a Turkish HNWI, the sole shareholder of an online homewares company which had been established 18 months earlier and was operating at a loss but seeking investment to expand its growth. 


An initial 8-week discovery program concluded the following:


  • The business was not a viable proposition for funding.

  • There was a scattergun approach to growth with no clear market positioning or well-defined customer personas.

  • A comprehensive transformation program was necessary.

 

The Solution.

 

Ford Hastings was appointed to lead the recruitment of a new senior leadership team, including a new Managing Director with online and scale-up expertise, a Head of Buying, a Head of Operations, a Head of Marketing, and a part-time, fractional CFO
